The balance of the opposites.

I remember seeing myself in the mirror wearing the biggest smile I could ever think of.
I remember daydreaming about things; that that by that time, were not too far from reality.
I remember praying that one night and giving thanks for having an astonishingly wonderful day.
I was crying that time, I was too happy.

And then that "too much" warned me.
I remembered that it always happens that such thing could never last for long, no matter how high my hopes were wishing that euphoria will stay as long as I wanted it.

I got it right. Wow. As if it couldn't be predicted.

The mirror cracked and brought back the melancholic smile I used to have.
Dreams are now a billion miles away from reality.
The prayer filled with happiness was replaced with a prayer pleading for another day filled with joy and excitement.
Happiness became misery.

"Man cannot stay in a positive state forever.
This would become his normal state, and wouldn't feel happy anymore."

Is this fair?
I wasn't even close to forever.
Is a blissful month enough for an empty year?
Am I sure that it was only a year?

But, I am going to get through this, right?
I've been here way too many times now.
But I guess the pain just keeps on getting worse.
And it starts to get tiring now.

Will my every chance of happiness will always lead to something like this?
Well if that's the case, I am willing not to take another shot.
